Soptimtea inah - Community Reconnection

In this healing practice, participants experience the four elements in the intentional practice of healing a collective from imposed harm or undesired outcome of an event. This ritual can be a great healing practice implemented for organizations/communities/families that are looking to overcome internal conflict, or heal from similar harm that has caused unwanted change in group dynamics or group energy.

Creating Safe/Brave Spaces Workshop

Anytime someone walks in a room, it becomes a Queer space, a 2spirit space, a Trans space, an Indigenous space, etc. That person existing in the space makes it one where their identities exist too. However, they may not always feel safe or brave in certain spaces. This workshop focuses on identifying individual and community spaces that fit the characteristics of safe and/or brave, as well as highlighting areas for positive change in creating brave and/or safe spaces for authentic community.

Guided Meditation

English, Spanish, Dual Language Available. Guided meditation is a state of relaxed concentration invoked, led by another person. During these sessions, I will provide guidance and instruction for you to relax specific muscles in the body until they are comfortable, and then lead you through mental images and visualizations.

Utemapo onesh- Ancestoral Appreciation

In this healing practice, participants experience the four elements in four directions while showing and sharing appreciation to the ancestors and the natural world for our triumphs. It is important to note nature requires balance, and we must willingly provide positive and healing energy when we have it before asking for further support or guidance from our surrounding energies. This ritual allows for balance for one’s self and community, by pouring back into their environment and ancestral guides.

Self-Love: Acts & Affirmations Workshop

True self-care includes intentional actions taken for one’s well being in various areas of one’s life. Everyone moves through life differently, and thus these actions will be unique to each individual and their needs. Knowledge is key in effectively managing a self-care plan.This workshop focuses on the importance for each of us to check-in with ourselves regularly and understand what our needs are. We will learn how to set and maintain intentional self-love actions in the 8 major areas of life.

Quatempoc-Mending Roots

In this healing practice, participants directly interact with the four elements in the intentional practice of retethering one’s self to the community whole, and back into the folds of nature. There will be a chance to reflect on personal intentions, practice deep breathing, release unwanted energy, and reconnect with self and their environment. 

Iwebo genchi- Moving with Intention

In this healing practice, participants experience the four elements through movement at the person’s comfortability. There is a chance given to heal through movements such as dance, stretching, and non-sensual body exploration, among others. This ritual allows for realignment of selves (mind, body, and soul) through the expression of movement, awareness of our full self in the present moment, as well as moving in relation to sounds/music and the elements.

Intro to Mindfulness Workshop

Mindfulness is the awareness that arises from paying attention in a particular way: on purpose, moment-by-moment, and non-judgmentally. It is paying attention by being intentionally present with our feelings, bodily sensations, thoughts, and surrounding environment with a nurturing lens. In this workshop, one will learn ways to focus their attention to present moments, skills to implement formal practices of mindfulness, and quick but powerful informal techniques to successfully incorporate into any busy schedule.

Healing: Intentional Journaling Workshop

Journaling is a documented record of observed thoughts & feelings, which allows one to track patterns, improvement, and changes over time. Looking back at previous entries one will be able to acknowledge issues that one has been able to overcome. This workshop focuses on the intent of journaling, and its importance during the healing process. We will explore traditional and creative forms of journaling, various forms of journaling for different intentions, and participate in a reflective journaling activity. This workshop can be held in person at a location provided by the organization.
